Wine Country Weddings

For brides-to-be seeking inspiration for their big day, one of the most romantic options to consider is a Wine Country wedding. Farm-to-table cuisine, fresh flowers, Tuscan-inspired architecture and broad views of vine-covered hills cement the sentiment that this is the place to tie the knot.

The magic is best brought to life when the stage is set at one of the region’s most exclusive resorts. It doesn’t get any more exclusive than Sonoma Wine Country's most exceptional golf and private residence club – Mayacama. Ordinarily accessible to the club's Members and homeowners only, a limited number of non-member couples are able to gain access to Mayacama to celebrate with their family and friends.

“Mayacama is a hidden gem in Wine Country,” says Events Manager Rebekah Reynoso who is available to assist with every detail from menu selection to recommending vendors for florals, photography, music and more.

“The venue offers several spaces for weddings," she notes, "including the signature courtyard with century old Sevillano olive trees and a private wine cave overlooking a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course.”

A favorite location for ceremonies is the putting green, which offers the property’s most breathtaking, panoramic views. Afterwards, serve dinner on the clubhouse terrace where you can continue taking in the views with the bonus of a cozy firepit on cool evenings. For weddings on a grander scale, the Club seats up to 300 in the postcard-perfect courtyard where you’ll be transported to Tuscany beneath twinkling Tivoli lights.

The Sonoma region is known for its exceptional food and wine and Mayacama truly takes it to a whole new level. “Mayacama’s Vintner Program offers exclusive wines to wedding parties and our executive chef Scott Pikey delivers authentic and approachable food inspired by local ingredients,” Reynoso says.

For an autumn wedding, picture your guests dining on seasonal dishes like autumn squash and apple soup, salad of slow-roasted candy striped beets, citrus, fennel and Laura Chenel goat cheese, followed by Snake River pork rack with apple puree, roasted chestnuts, braised greens and spiced jus followed.

Members have the benefit of recreating the magic of their Mayacama wedding year after year, celebrating their anniversaries, as well as any and every occasion at their private club in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country.
