Hotel & Residences – Vail, Colorado

  • Timbers Resorts partnered with a Mexico City family to purchase the Vail Plaza Hotel & Club out of bankruptcy in early 2010
  • Timbers Resorts self-performed roughly $10 million in improvements within 11 months of acquisition to reposition the property and relaunched it as The Sebastian – Vail
  • Since then we completed an additional $5 million of renovations to the hotel rooms and residences
  • Timbers Resorts is responsible for asset management, hotel and HOA management, residence rentals, and marketing/sales for the entire property
  • Over $50 million in real estate sales since 2010 and hotel revenue has increased from $4.9 million in 2010 to $16.5 million in 2015

Spanish Residential Portfolio

Residences – Costa del Sol, Spain

Timbers Responsibilities: Asset Management

  • Timbers Resorts was engaged by Oaktree Capital Management (“Oaktree”) to oversee the renovation and sale of a portfolio of 579 residences located across 10 properties in the Costa del Sol region of Spain
  • The portfolio was acquired from a major Spanish bank, which had foreclosed on the properties during the financial downturn
  • Timbers Resorts oversees renovation work to bring the properties back to like-new condition and supervises sales and marketing
  • Timbers Resorts is also actively involved in expanding the portfolio, working with Oaktree and its local partner on underwriting new investments
