Cardboard Classic

At The Base of Steamboat Ski Area in Gondola Square

The Cardboard Classic is Steamboat's traditional rite of spring celebrating over three decades of fun.

This event features homemade crafts constructed only from cardboard, glue, string, water based paint, duct tape and masking tape racing down the face of Headwall to a hysterical finish. The uniqueness and creativity of this race make it a highlight of closing weekend year after year.

Bud Light Rocks the Boat Free Concert with Leftover Salmon

Leftover Salmon will be in Steamboat Springs to headline the Bud Light Rocks the Boat Free Concert Series at 3:30 p.m. April 10. The group includes: Vince Herman on vocals, acoustic guitar, washboard; Drew Emmitt on vocals, acoustic and electric mandolin, electric guitar, fiddle; Andy Thorn on vocals, acoustic and electric banjo; Greg Garrison on vocals, acoustic and electric bass; and Alwyn Robinson on drums.

Event Details and Schedule

Season passholders ride the Gondola for free but you must have your pass with you. If you do not have a season pass tickets can be purchased for $12 in the Gondola Bay prior to boarding. If you purchase a ticket you get a $5 credit to use to purchase food and drinks. Recommended for adults; children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a lively cocktail event with music. Upload the Gondola starting at 5:00pm.

Steamboat Arts Council ~ Feast for the Senses

Get your tickets before they sell out Palettes is the Steamboat Springs Arts Council’s most unique fundraising event with art that represents all 5 senses simultaneously. Yes, that’s right, art you can eat, smell, touch, hear and see! This year, the proceeds will benefit the Arts Council as we remain excellent stewards of the 1908 historic train depot. Participating in creative endeavors has shown to be one of most important components to developing healthy and memorable communities.
