8th Annual Steamboat OktoberWest®

Celebrate the season at a Steamboat-style Oktoberfest including Rocky Mountain beer, local food specialties and festivities unique to Steamboat Springs.



Freestyle skiing makes its return in late March as the Steamboat Ski Resort hosts the 2016 US Freestyle Championships, featuring the America’s best men and women mogul and aerial athletes, including Olympic, World and National Champions. The 2016 Championships will take place across the Park Smalley Freestyle Complex, which consists of the Voo Doo aerial venue and the 1,000-foot vertical long adrenalin generating Mayer’s Mogul Course.

Adventures Showcase

Steamboat Pilot & Today in partnership with Adventures Magazine is hosting the first annual Adventures Showcase. Several Steamboat locals will share their experiences skiing in Iceland, tackling Mount Everest, exploring the South Pole, biking the Grand Canyon and so much more. Located at the Chief Theater doors open at 5:30pm with presentations beginning at 6pm. Event is free to the public with a suggested $5 donation.

Art on the Mountain

Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is pleased to host our 15th annual Art on the Mountain. Local and visiting artisans bring a great variety of their work to display and sell in Gondola Square at the Steamboat Ski Area. Art on the Mountain is an opportunity for our guests to observe exceptional artwork available in the Yampa Valley.

Yampa Valley Fly Fishing Film Tour 2016

The Fly Fishing Film Tour is brought to Steamboat Springs, CO thanks to the Yampa Valley Fly Fisher's Trout Unlimited Chapter.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the show will begin promptly at 7:00pm.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Yampa Valley Fly Fisher's Trout Unlimited.

Tickets ($15) are available online and through local fly shops. Tickets ($18) could also be available at the door of the Chief Theater the night of the event. However, we sold out last year and would recommend purchasing in advance.


Jupiter’s Abacoa Town Center comes to life with fantastic art and fabulous fun. ArtiGras, the award-winning fine arts festival, celebrates its 31st Anniversary this year. This local art show has grown into a nationally recognized art, music, and family-friendly festival.

Lennon: Through a Glass Onion

Actor/singer John R. Waters celebrates one of the most distinct voices of all time: John Lennon. The intimate show was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revue and features Lennon’s greatest songs, including Woman and Jealous Guy, as well as collaborations with Paul McCartney, such as Strawberry Fields Forever and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
